Koshimori City is located on the outer edge of the Kanto Plain and has a population of approximately 540 000. It is designated as a core city. The Shinkansen bullet train stops at Koshimori Station, the city's main railway station, which also serves as the starting point for regional railways operated by other private railway companies. The area around the station is lined with high-rise buildings and is renowned as one of the best night view cities in the country.
